Describing a Cool City

There are some problems some of the problems associated with economic development since the start of the industrial revolution are environmental issues and cause rise pollution and traffic dilate. Then it will lead to increase energy conception as CO2 emitted to the air. If we continue by this lifestyle without solving these problems so we need another earth to live on it and of course all of us know that it’s impossible to replace the earth. We have to live with in our needs and at the same time decrease the amount of CO2 that emitted to the air by one half. Over 90% of CO2 emitted to the air come from building 55%, transportation 35% and other 10%. There is a project called Cool Cities and it is a city that include a new technology and knowledge with member of SDCJ using activities that reduce CO2 emitted to the air and it is very good environment. It can reduce the CO2 by 60%. It is makeup of central business area, around which residential zone and across the canal lights a green built with a cultural and sports zone and a resort zone. Around the city itself there will be solar powered, plants farms surrounding by forest to prevent sand shifty. There are 3 zones business, cultural and residential are compactly arrange so it’s easy to move in these three areas by foot. They use nature energy and they use trees and water not just for attractive but also useful in preventing in heating effect. Trolley is the best way to enjoy the city. The main transportation terminal complex system involve monorail station, light rail transit station, water transportation and hybrid car parking areas.

Summarize Johann Hari's opinion

Johann Hari is a very good man. He gives us what the environment was and what is it now. The climate change because of people activities that destroy the environment. He is against the countries that increase in global warming without thinking about what they cause or what will be the reasons. He is really angry about the government because there are some people who worry about global warming and they are doing some thing to reduce global warming but Johann Hari want some thing more than this because still there is increase in global warming because not enough to stop global warming. He wants from the government to force all people green and anti-green to be cleaner behavior by put strict rules for anyone who produce or create any type of global warming. All people must change their behavior it is not enough for you to change your behavior. I’m absolutely agree with him in that the government should force the people because people don’t like to change their comfort lifestyle but by force them they will like it. I hope all people to be co-operate to make a new environment without pollution and stop global warming.

Planned developments by TDIC 2

I sure they will make it cool city but I don’t know when because it will take a time may be more than 10 or 15 years and during these time global warming will increase too much. I hope that all people co-operate to be all together one hand to reduce global warming and make Abu Dhabi cool city in near future and let our children and families interest in fresh and beautiful environment.

I think the coolest development is Cultural District in Saadiyat Island. This development will be very useful and attractive for the local people and also for the tourists because it will be much respected global museum and performing arts centre. One of these museums called Guggenheim museum it will be only one of its kind in the Middle East and also the largest museum in worlds. Also there is Sheikh Zayed National Museum will show us our father Sheikh Zayed lifespan and how he made this city and change it from desert to green city. In my opinion I think this development will make Abu Dhabi very famous by attract tourists and also will reduce global warming by depend on culture and show us how old people was live in pace and without any pollution and increase in global warming.

live in Masdar City

Would you like to live in Masdar City? Why?

Yes of course I would like to live in Masdar City and I think most of the people also would like to live in Masdar City. There are many reasons that attract me to Masdar city. First of all I’ll not use my car anymore so I can walk and every thing will be not far away and also the weather will be very nice not cold and not hot but it will be cooling by ambient. It is real life and it is place that will be continually lifestyle. It will be no pollution and no crowded and also no noisy. There are a lot of garden and trees that refresh our mind and our city. The CO2 will be 0% and it is the first cool city will do that. Also I’ll don’t have to worry about the petrol or air-condition and also the electricity because every thing will be use by nature energy. My family will live in a good environment and they will be very happy. I can walk comfortably to the shops and I don’t need to go by a car and switch on the air condition. I hope that build it soon and build also other cities for other people because one city it will be not enough for people and also not enough to reduce the CO2 because there are still many activities outside Masdar city that produce CO2 and destroy the environment.
